Houston music culture was known for "Undaground Mixtapes" or "Undaground Albums". These were mixtapes/projects that were released by the artist directly to the consumer without a record label. The goal was that it was not sold in major stores, but in corner stores or out of the trunk of the performing artist or street team. Distribution was handled by the artist as well. Barcodes had to be created for this product by the artist. Houston artists like Slim Thug, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, and more built lasting careers by using Undaground mixtapes to gain exposure. This exposure would lead to major record deals. Our "Undaground" is a Rwandan + Ugandan blend for our coffee drinkers who love more fruity notes to be present in their coffee. We wanted to use a Ugandan bean for this blend to bring eyes to that region of Africa for its amazing fruity notes you get out of a medium roast. Coffee is supplied ethically from Chanzo Coffee (Uganda) and Umoko Coffee (Rwanda, Gasharu Region).
